Cycling in Egmond

What could be better than an adventurous bike ride through the dune area between Castricum and Schoorl. The North Holland landscape is incredibly versatile and always fun to explore by bike. In the management of the dunes PWN is increasingly using so-called large grazers. These are animals such as sheep, goats, Exmoor ponies, Shetland ponies, Scottish Highlanders and Konik horses. Agu Egmond-Pier-Egmond beach ATB Race

On the second Saturday in January, the beach race of the year takes place. During AGU Egmond-Pier-Egmond you go into battle with different elements. Beach, dunes, overwhelming obstacles and winter conditions force you to go to extremes! This winter classic is with four thousand participants for years the largest and most appealing beach race in the Netherlands and abroad. Between the hundreds of recreationists, many mountain bike toppers and road racers are named every year. Half Marathon of Egmond aan Zee

The running race of the year takes place on the second Sunday in January. The NN Egmond half marathon. As a runner you must have participated in this heroic event once in your life. The challenging course of 21.1 km or 10.5 km stretches across the beach and through the rolling dunes of the Noord Hollands Duinreservaat. Golf in Egmond

With 66 holes, spread over seven courses, Spaarnwoude golf course is the largest public golf course in Europe. This golf course is only 35 km, less than half an hour away from Egmond. Our accommodations are therefore also a perfect base for a great golf vacation. Every year around 350,000 people visit the golf course and around 175,000 rounds are played. This golf course is the domain of both experienced and novice golfers. The experienced golfers can go to the 27 competition holes, which have the A-status of the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF).
